Patient Support Services
At the CWRC, we understand that the treatment of infertility can involve many personal and emotional challenges. We are committed to making your experience with us as supportive and positive as possible. The CWRC offers a range of special services administered by dedicated professionals, so that patients receive the personal support they may need before, during, and even after their treatment.
These services include:
- patient support groups
- mentoring services
- individual and couples counseling
- psychiatric counseling and evaluation
- fertility education workshops (click here for details)
For a detailed description of these services, please click on the "Patient Support Services" brochure. In addition to these services, the specialized care of our social workers and nurses is also available, as follows:
Admissions and Support Counselor
Our Admissions and Support Counselor at the CWRC is available by phone during business hours at 1-646-756-8294 to provide information about our services and programs, including introductory cycle fees, medication subsidies, patient financing, and health insurances. The Admissions Counselor can also assist with handling stressful and emotional situations during a patient's treatment at the CWRC, and is available by appointment for individual or couples counseling sessions for a nominal charge.
Patient Relations Coordinator
Our patient relations coordinator, Joy Meyers, MSW, is available by phone during business hours at 1-646-335-3441. The role of our patient relations coordinator is to help with any problems not resolved by other staff and to assist you with your special needs. Ms. Meyers helps to ensure that patients receive support at each stage of their treatment at the CWRC.
Egg Donor Coordinator
Michelle Aszodi, LMSW, is a staff member of the CWRC who is the recipient's primary contact for all questions and concerns regarding requisition, checklist requirements, the donor matching and selection process, and all other issues prior to the beginning of the egg donor cycle.
Teaching Class
We offer teaching classes for patients undergoing both IUI and IVF or Donor/Recipient IVF at the CWRC. In both orientation classes, a nurse coordinator will review in detail the IUI and IVF process with presentation of the medications, and demonstration and practice of how to administer them.
